Hi All,

This is an another thread which I am creating as my friend Charles Stuart has also got a query and he wants me to get the resolution from this site. Below is the query in his own words:

I have a distributed environment .

2 webtiers = W1 and W2

2 Application Tiers = A1 and A2.

I have read the upgrade guide still would like to clarify some dumb doubts.

I have planned the following sequence .

1. Stop A1 and W1.
2. Upgrade A1.
3. Upgrade W1.
4. Stop A2 and W2.
5. Start A1 and W1.
6. Upgrade A2.
7. Upgrade W2.
8. Start A2 and W2

will this affect the customisations that I have done on the present setup. Do i need to take a backup of the web.xml.
I am concerned because users are testing and I don't want to hinder their testing.
